    HURLEY — Ironwood took all but one tennis contest from Hurley Thursday at the Hurley K-12 School. Ironwood’s Katie Erickson and Kristine Mieloszyk blanked Hurley’s Melissa Simonar and Alyssa Starkey 6-0, 6-0, as did Ironwood’s No. 2 singles player, Danielle Begalle, against Hurley’s Hannah Houtari.     HURLEY — Washburn swept Hurley 25-11, 25-12, 25-9 Thursday night in non-conference volleyball. Hurley’s Susan Walesewicz finished with two aces. She had nice serves and played well in the back row, Hurley coach Liz Constantini said. Bryce Holmes, Felicia Herlevi and Brittany Czarnecki all had one kill.   • Michigan to spend $2 million to promote autumn attractions

    Michigan will spend nearly $2 million through Oct. 1 to promote fall colors and other fall attractions, according to the Michigan Economic Development Corporation.
