    From 4 to 8 inches of snow was predicted for tonight and Wednesday throughout the Gogebic Range and cold air is expected to follow. The National Weather Service warned the snow could mix with rain, causing some potentially hazardous driving conditions.     LANSING (AP) - A pro-hunting coalition on Monday received the go-ahead to collect petition signatures aimed at protecting Michigan's ability to hold wolf hunts, putting in doubt efforts to stop the hunts at the ballot box next November. Citizens for Professional Wildlife Management, which includes the Michigan United Conservation Clubs and various hunting organizations, will try to gather 258,000 signatures for the citizen-initiated law.     APPLETON, Wis. - William R. Lantta, 84, of Appleton, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Friday, Nov. 29, 2013, at Cherry Meadows Hospice in Appleton. He was born on Aug. 20, 1929, in Bessemer, Mich., son of the late William and Tynne (Mickelson) Lantta. He graduated from A.D. Johnston High School in 1947.
