    IRONWOOD - Hurley found its shooting touch and picked up its first win of the season, 61-41 over Ironwood in Indianhead Conference action Friday night. The win was "tremendously" needed for the Midgettes, Hurley coach Steve Eder said. The Midgettes lost their first two games of the year, at Lakeland and at Wakefield-Marenisco.     IRONWOOD - As Jack Frost parades go, the weather was downright balmy for Friday's annual winter celebration in Ironwood. Compared to recent years of windchills well below zero, the 25-degree temperatures, absent any wind, brought out about twice as many people - and animals - as in recent years.     To the Editor: Most advanced nations provide their citizens with universal health care, funded by their governments. With universal health care all citizens in a nation are able to receive health care, regardless of their family income. The U.S. is one of the few advanced nations that does not provide universal government funded health care for all citizens. Therefore, in the U.S. many low income families cannot receive the health care they need; members of these families often die earlier than individuals of families with high incomes.     IRONWOOD TOWNSHIP, Mich. - Ronald V. Grenberg, 86, of Sunset Road, Ironwood Township, died peacefully Friday, Dec. 5, 2014, at home, following a lengthy illness. He was born Nov. 13, 1928, in Rockford, Ill., son of the late Herman and Katherine (Meyers) Grenberg, and graduated from East High School in Rockford in 1946.     HURLEY, Wis. - Sigrid E. Hantula, age 96, of Erwin Township, died Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2014, in Hurley. She was born July 12, 1918, in Ironwood, Mich., daughter of the late Thomas and Selma (Nelson) Jackson. She attended the K.P. Silberg School in Erwin Township and then on to L.L. Wright High School.
