Ironwood — Six eyesore demolition bids will be on the agenda when the Ironwood City Commission meets on Monday at 5:25 p.m.

The session will begin with a public hearing on a blight violation at 603 Cherry Place. During the regular meeting to follow, commissioners will consider a resolution ordering the removal and abatement of the alleged hazard and nuisance at 603 Cherry.

Snow Country Contracting, of Bessemer Township, is the apparent low bidder for the six demolition projects in the following amounts:

—At 768 E. Ayer St., $15,034.

—At 122 E. Larch St., $11,201.

—At 350 Silver St., $10,422.

—At 205 Albany St., $14,997.

—At 110 Rowe St., $10,455.

—At 220 Southwest St., $7,991.

Three companies bid on all six demolition projects, according to a tabulation sheet, and Snow Country came up with the low bids in each instance.

Snow Country previously demolished numerous eyesores in the city as part of a

Hardest Hit clean-up program funded by the state.

Other items on the agenda for Monday’s meeting include:

—Awarding a Skid Steer bid to Miller-Bradford for $70,100.

—Approving water and sewer project payments.

—Considering a request from the Ironwood Industrial Development Corporation to renew a $4,500 bond for an additional period of one year at a 2.5 percent interest rate.
