Travis 'T-Bone' Fletcher

ASHLAND, Wis. - Travis "T-Bone" Fletcher, 37, passed away on Dec. 23, 2015, at home.

Travis was born June 13, 1978. He came to the foster home of Dot and Cliff Fletcher at 10 months of age. Soon after, Robbie, who would become his best friend and inseparable brother, joined Travis at the Fletchers.

Dot and Cliff adopted Travis in 1984. His life was challenged with Cerebral Palsy, but he overcame that in many ways, such as graduating from Ashland High School. After Dot and Cliff passed away, Travis lived with Roy Grande and his daughter, Sammie Bowker, in Ashland. Travis was part of their family and received an abundance of love and very special care from everyone, right down to the youngest members of the family.

Travis was an avid Minnesota Vikings fan, except when he was cheering on the Green Bay Packers. He liked to switch back and forth.

Travis is survived by his grandma, Nancy; his siblings, Jerry Fletcher, Dorothy (Denny) Jensen, Cindy (Ed) Brandis, Scott (Mary Jo) Fletcher and Rob Trimble; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews; and one great-great-niece.

Travis was preceded by his parents, Dot and Cliff Fletcher; and his brother, Mark Fletcher.

It did take a village to raise this young man. May God bless everyone that was part of his life.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 29, 2015, at Roberts Funeral Home in Ashland with Pastor Tony Lashbrook officiating. Inurnment will follow the service at the Mt. Hope Cemetery in Ashland. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Tuesday. A reception will be held at the Senior Center in Ashland.
