Ironwood — Warren Nelson and Friends (Otis McLennon, Ed Willett, Cheryl Leah, and Nelson’s son Rowan Nelson-Ferris) gave a lively show at the Historic Ironwood Theatre on Saturday night.

The show opened with HIT Idol high school category youth vocalist Eddie Corrothers from Ewan-Trout Creek on piano.

The group comprised of Nelson on guitar, Otis McLennon on harmonica, Ed Willett on cello, Cheryl Leah on vocals, and Nelson’s son Rowan Nelson-Ferris on banjo, playing an array of Northwoods themed tunes.

Nelson is one of the founders of the Lake Superior Big Top Chautauqau, and has been playing in the area for decades. His music strikes a chord with locals as he sings about area landmarks and history including a song about the Ironwood Theatre itself.

Along with the music, there was wine, beer, and concessions available for audience members to enjoy.
