    IRONWOOD - Tom Coverly, an international speaker, comedian and illusionist, will appear at Gogebic Community College and the Hurley K-12 School on Wednesday. The Range Suicide Prevention Council, Gogebic Community Mental Health, Cornerstone Church and Wakefield-Marenisco and the Bessemer, Ironwood and Hurley schools are bringing Coverly to Gogebic and Iron counties.   • Broadband committee hears update on DNR fire towers

    By RICHARD JENKINS [email protected] HURLEY — The Gogebic Range Broadband Committee received an update Wednesday on a pair of Department of Natural Resources fire towers in the southern part of Iron County. The committee has been considering using them to expand broadband services in the area. The county has been talking to the DNR about acquiring the towers — one near Pine Lake and the other in Springstead — and commissioned Coleman Engineering to complete an inspection of the towers.
