    OMA, Wis. - A 45-year-old woman was dead at the scene of a two-vehicle crash on U.S. 51 near County CC in Oma Sunday morning. A 32-year-old man involved in the crash was taken to Aspirus Ironwood Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. According to the Iron County Sheriff's Department, a car driven the 45-year-old woman crossed the center line on U.S. 51 at 2:56 a.m. Sunday and was hit by the 32-year-old man's vehicle.     By JAN TUCKER [email protected] The civilian labor force and total employment rose but so did unemployment in Gogebic County in the last month, according to the Bureau of Labor Market Information. Unemployment in Gogebic County from November to December rose from 5.3 percent to 6.2 percent during that time. The good news was the labor force available for work rose by 125, from 6,175 to 6,300 in the past two months. Total employment in same time frame, also rose by 50 to 5,900.     RAMSAY, Mich. – Ruth E. Perry, 94, a long-time resident of Ramsay, passed away Friday morning, Jan. 26, 2018. Ruth was born on Jan. 19, 1924, in Portage Township, a daughter of Henry and Anna (Wayrynen) Antilla. She graduated from Jeffers High School in Painesdale. On Aug. 2, 1941, Ruth was united in marriage to William T. Perry at the Methodist parsonage in Hancock by the Rev. Milton H. Bank.
