    WAKEFIELD - The Michigan Department of Natural Resources issued a use permit to Orvana Resources U.S. Corp., a subsidiary of Highland Copper, to conduct exploratory drilling. The drilling is on a one-mile-square piece of property situated along the westernmost edge of Porcupine Mountains Wilderness State Park in Gogebic County. The change will take effect April 1, after the township board awarded the contract to the authority’s low bid.
