    ERWIN TOWNSHIP - Descendants of the original Van Buskirk school children gathered on a chilly, but sunny Sunday to recreate an old photo and share some laughs. The original photo was taken on Feb. 17, 1915, by Matti Siirila and is titled "On the Rocks."     IRONWOOD --- The Samsons hope they haven't seen the last of the Lindquist Center this season. Gogebic Community College defeated Fox Valley Tech 77-65 Saturday afternoon. With the win, the Samsons finished .500 at home, 6-6. To play here again, the Samsons have to win in St. Paul on Feb. 25, against Dakota County Technical College in the NJCAA Division II Region 13 opener.     WAKEFIELD - Sharp winds and below-zero temperatures didn't deter the crowds at the sixth annual Wakefield Volunteer Fire Department Ice Fishing Contest. 562 people registered for the event, which while down from last year's attendance of 700 to 800 people, was quite good considering the weather.     Firefighters battle second-story flames at 206 Southwest St. in Ironwood on Sunday night. Neighbors said the fire started in the wood stove in the basement of the home.
