    LAKE GOGEBIC, Mich. - Carol A. Peterson, 73, a long-time resident of Lake Gogebic, passed away Tuesday morning, Feb. 14, 2017, surrounded by her loving family. Carol was born on Sept. 20, 1943, in Bessemer Township, a daughter of Harold E. and Carol A. (Dahl) Lake. She attended Wakefield High School and graduated in 1961.   • Hurley City Council approves budget amendment for city hall renovations

    By RALPH ANSAMI [email protected] HURLEY — The Hurley City Council on Wednesday approved budget amendments to cover the cost of renovations to the city hall building. The council amended 2016 budget categories to reflect the $15,322 cost of renovating the building.
