    KIMBALL, Wis. — Local Finlanders, and non-Finnish people alike, gathered at Little Finland on Sunday for the annual dance dedicated to St. Urho’s Day. St. Urho’s Day takes place on March 16 and is a Finnish holiday.     KIMBALL, Wis. — A benefit dinner drew scores of supporters for Mike Tijan in his fight against multiple myeloma Saturday at the Kimball Community Center. Tijan has been battling the disease for eight years, and is now facing a stem cell transplant. His brother Andy is a blood match. Their sister, Teresa Vitovksy, said Mike has been undergoing chemotherapy and radiation treatments to decrease his cancer levels.     IRONWOOD — The Downtown Art Place held an open house Saturday, in conjunction with the Take 3 concert at the Ironwood Theatre. The open house was the second for the Downtown Art Place.     IRONWOOD, Mich. — Elsie E. Stella, 84, of Ironwood Township, died peacefully Friday, March 15, 2013, in Ironwood, surrounded by her loving family. The former Elsie Lassila was born July 8, 1928, in Ironwood Township, daughter of the late George and Senia (Nasi) Lassila, and attended Roosevelt Grade School and Luther L. Wright High School.
