    IRONWOOD — Big changes have taken place at the Western Upper Peninsula Convention and Visitors Bureau in Ironwood in the past year. In November, the bureau moved to a new location, downsizing from the previous spot. It has launched a state-of-the-art website, geared at attracting more visitors. The new office is at 405 N. I spent a small fortune on a product that caused me three car accidents, one of which should have killed me. I had two friends in their early graves because of alcohol.     SAXON, Wis. — Stanley V. Lantta, of Saxon, passed away peacefully Tuesday, April 2, 2013, at the age of 90. Stanley was born on Jan. 6, 1923, in Iron Belt, the son of Matt and Lydia Lantta. He proudly served his country in the Navy during World War II on board the Destroyer Escort DE 815. On Jan. 17, 1942, Stanley married Vivian M. Tapanila, of Saxon.     Ewen-Trout Creek senior Dillon Gordon and Ironwood junior Adam Mackey were named to Basketball Coaches Association of Michigan all-state teams. Mackey made the Class C team after leading the Red Devils to an 18-4 season. Gordon is on the Class D team, after averaging 28.5 points per game for the 17-5 Panthers. Gordon also made the Class D all-state Second Team in the Detroit News. Mackey was an honorable mention in Class C in the News.
