    BESSEMER — Friday’s continuing trial against Kenneth Wayne Peters, 50, of Bessemer, was “unpredictable,” according to 32nd Circuit Court Judge Roy Gotham after a day of testimony at the Gogebic County Courthouse.     Prom season kicks off tonight with Wakefield-Marenisco High School’s prom at the Wakefield VFW. Seven area proms will be held through May 11.     Despite stormy, whiteout conditions on the Gogebic-Iron Range, 71 pints of life-giving blood were collected at the Ironwood Memorial Building by the American Red Cross on March 20. The Red Cross relies on the generosity and dedication of its coordinators, volunteers and donors to support its lifesaving mission.     FORT WAYNE, Ind. — Janet (Yankosky) Kenworthy, 84, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Friday, Feb. 22, 2013, at Visiting Nurse and Hospice Home in Fort Wayne. Born in Ironwood, Mich., she was the daughter of the late Frank and Mary Yankosky.
