    BESSEMER — The 911 surcharge of $1.30 per month on all communication service providers capable of using the system was continued Wednesday by the Gogebic County Board of Commissioners. The surcharge on telephones and electronic devices that can access 911 was approved by voters on Nov. 4, 2014, on a vote of 3,571 to 1,301.     WOODRUFF, Wis. - William "Bill" Arnold Spetz, 84, of Woodruff, died on Wednesday, April 12, 2017, at his residence. Bill was born on Sept. 22, 1932, in Ironwood, Mich., the son of Otto and Hanna (nee Tassava) Spetz. He graduated from Luther L. Wright High School and Gogebic Junior College and later received his B.S. degree from Michigan State University and his master's degree from UW-Superior.
