    IRONWOOD - West Iron County finished in first place in the girls division, while Ashland took home the gold on the boys side at the 36th annual Jack Kraemer Invitational Track Meet at Longyear Field on Monday. It was the third straight Kraemer title for both the Wykons and Ashland, not counting the 2013 meet which was canceled due to poor weather conditions.     BESSEMER - With only one bid submitted, it was a relatively easy choice for the Bessemer City Council Monday night when they accepted Snow Country Contracting's bid for the reconstruction of North Moore Street. Seere was born on Jan. 25, 1922, to Finnish immigrants Charles and Aliina Huhtala on the North Baltimore Road in Bruce Crossing, where she has was a lifelong resident. She attended the one-room North Baltimore School through eighth grade and graduated from Ewen High School in 1939. She was born Jan. 25, 1953, in Houghton, Mich., the daughter of Phillip and Florence (Rabideaux) LaPointe. Pam was a 1971 graduate of White Pine (Mich.) High School.     WATERSMEET, Mich. — Charlotte “Chod” Jenkins, 81, a longtime resident of Watersmeet, died Monday, May 4, 2015, at her home. She was born Nov. 10, 1933, in Land O’ Lakes, Wis., to Wiley and Myrtle Sparks. Charlotte worked for 31 years for the U.S. Forestry Service in Watersmeet. She loved to spend her time with her family, especially her kids and all her grandchildren. Charlotte was an outdoor enthusiast who loved to grow flowers, greenery, camp and walk.     BESSEMER — While most Michigan voters taking part in today’s election will only be voting on a statewide proposal to change the way state roads are funded, voters within the limits of the Wakefield-Marenisco School District will also be voting on a proposed bond to replace the district’s school buses.
