  • Man injured in Kimball roll-over

    KIMBALL Wis. - A Lake Nebagamon, Wis., man was injured in a roll-over accident on U.S. 2 near Little Finland in Kimball Saturday. Lance Richard Adolphson, 46, rolled his car, landing near the tree line, at approximately 5:59 p.m. Saturday, according to an ICSD report. The accident slowed traffic for approximately an hour. Adolphson was transported to Aspirus Grand View, according to the report, by Beacon Ambulance. No information was available regarding his condition....

    KIMBALL, Wis - The Kimball Homemakers held its annual pie social and craft show at the Kimball Community Center Saturday. "We're full and we're doing well," said Mary Smith, the group's president. "Lunchtime is always a good time, get a little more foot traffic through."   • Finnish-American Chorus offers Mother's Day concert

    The National Finnish-American Festival Chorus preformed its annual Mother's Day Concert on Sunday at the Zion Lutheran Church in Ironwood. Gary Schlais opened the concert with a few solo pieces on the accordion. Under direction of Gale Hellier, the chorus sang several traditional songs from Finland with a focus on giving thanks to mothers.
