IRONWOOD - The Gogebic County Road Commission said Lake Road, in Ironwood Township, was closed to traffic at Maki Creek beginning at 7 a.m. today. BESSEMER — The Gogebic County Board of Commissioners agreed Wednesday to increase a special 9-1-1 monthly surcharge by 30 cents per telephone or mobile device. The present charge is $1 per phone or device, but county voters authorized charging up to $1.65 in the November election. ONTONAGON, Mich. — Adeline A. Robl, 89, of Ewen, passed away May 12, 2015, at the Aspirus Ontonagon Hospital Long Term Care Unit. She was born Nov. 9, 1925, in Ewen to the late Eino and Toini (Hendrickson) Anderson. Adeline graduated from Ewen High School in 1943, and was employed in various places until 1944, when she married Roy Robl. They moved to Ewen in 1953 and operated a dairy farm on Fair Oaks Road.
