    HURLEY — Tuesday’s game played out a whole lot like 2011 and that was a good thing for Hurley. The No. 2 seed Midgettes held on to beat No. 3 Ladysmith 3-1 in Tuesday’s WIAA Division 3 regional semifinal.     LITTLE GIRL’S POINT — An elderly couple luckily escaped injury when a sinkhole broke open on County 505 (Lake Road) under their vehicle around noon Tuesday. The collapse of the county road was the result of more than 5 inches of rain in less than three days.     ONTONAGON — The Ontonagon Area Board of Education Monday agreed to ask for bids on all non-instructional Ontonagon Teacher Education Association schedule B positions.     IRONWOOD, Mich. — Hugo Verner Saarnio, born June 5, 1919, passed away on May 13, 2013, with his family at his side. He was the son of Willamina and John Saarnio of Viipuri, Finland. Hugo was the brother to Antti, Annikki, Lyyli, Kalle, Eva and Martin, all of whom preceded him in death. Hugo was a veteran of the Finnish Army.
