"We want to keep the kids safe and make sure they know about bike safety," Colassaco said as he pushed his police bike in the Hurley K-12 School along the commons area and to the elementary gym. The booths displayed information regarding pipeline safety and maintenance, transporting and storing crude oil, and the economic impact of Enbridge's services to Michigan and Wisconsin.     With almost no rain this spring and grass fires popping up last weekend, fire danger in the western Upper Peninsula continues to rise. There was Saturday rainfall in the eastern part of the U.P., but the Ironwood area isn’t expected to get any rainfall until Thursday or Friday. Monday afternoon turned dark across the Gogebic Range, but precipitation didn’t materialize.     MAPLEWOOD, Minn. - David Raymond Carlson, 78, of Maplewood, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 20, 2018, at St. John's Hospital.
