BESSEMER - The Bessemer City Council unanimously approved contractor Angelo Luppino, Inc. to complete needed repairs along U.S. 2 at its meeting Monday. IRONWOOD - An apparent murder-suicide in the city of Ironwood's Jessieville Location was under investigation Monday. An elderly man and woman were found dead in the back yard at a Burt Street residence around 7:30 a.m. Monday, with a shotgun found at the scene, according to a Gogebic County Sheriff's Department report.
