Five bids were received on May 25 from construction contractors for the project. All met the bidding requirements. WAKEFIELD, Mich. - Richard W. Dembowski Sr., 69, a long-time resident of Wakefield, passed away peacefully Saturday evening, May 27, 2017. Rick was born on Feb. 20, 1948, in Milwaukee, a son of Bronislaus and Eleanore (Karolewicz) Dembowski. He attended school in Milwaukee and graduated from Pulaski High School in 1966. MARQUETTE, Mich. - Jerome F. Lazowski, 88, of Ironwood, passed away on Tuesday, May 30, 2017, at D. J. Jacobetti Home for Veterans in Marquette. He was born April 4, 1929, in Ironwood, the son of the late Michael and Amelia (Ziemba) Lazowski. Jerome graduated from Luther L. Wright High School in Ironwood with the Class of 1947.
