Muriel was born on Dec. 2, 1925, in Wakefield, a daughter of John Joseph and Anna Elizabeth (Johnson) Pezzetti. She attended Wakefield High School and graduated in 1943.     ONTONAGON, Mich. - Elmer Andew Komula, 96, of Ontonagon, passed away on Wednesday, June 8, 2016, at home, surrounded by his wife and children. Elmer was born on Nov. 30, 1919, in Ontonagon on the Komula farm to Jacob and Hilja Komula. He married Shirley Roehm on Sept. 25, 1954, in Ontonagon.   • Bessemer council moves forward with water, sewer project

    BESSEMER — The Bessemer City Council Monday agreed to move forward with a combined $11 million sewer-water project in Bessemer. On a 4-1 vote, the council agreed to sign management and water purchase agreements. The council agreed to send the documents to U.S. Department of Agriculture-Rural Development for approval.
