    RICE LAKE, Wis. - David Merrill Anderson, 64, of Rothschild, died Wednesday, June 14, 2017, at his daughter's home in Rice Lake. He was born Aug. 15, 1952, in Blue Island, Ill., to the late David and Edna (Keppler) Anderson. David graduated from Franklin High School in 1970 and attended the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee prior to serving in the U.S. Army.     BESSEMER — Linda Nelson said the Fourth of July events in Bessemer went off very well. The weather did not result in any cancellations or delays, even though they had to move one event inside, planned as a contingency. Nelson said the 50-50 sales were “incredible.” The sales opened Tuesday, June 27, and the tent stayed busy. The fireworks committee tried to keep at least two people in the tent for sales, but at times had as many as five to six people making 50-50 sales.
