The plan is available online at cityofbessemer.org or the city will mail it to residents on the residents dime. The board hired Heather Beck as the special education instructor at the school. Beck is a member of the school board and indicated she will resign her seat on the board because of the appointment. He was born Aug. 24, 1922, at home on the family farm in Ironwood Township, son of the late Eric and Selina (Kitula) Vuorenmaa.
