His wife, Candice, is nearly fully healthy after winning last year's Paavo Nurmi Marathon with a nagging injury and then picking up her second best marathon time at Boston despite still battling the injury.     HURLEY - Students at the Hurley K-12 School are getting their hands dirty while planting, growing and selling produce from the school garden at the Iron County Farmers Market. Every Wednesday, students sell their own produce at the market with the "Garden to Market" program under the guidance of the Iron County University of Wisconsin-Extension office.   • Gogebic County Fairgrounds still accessible for eastbound U.S. 2 traffic

    IRONWOOD - Eastbound traffic on U.S. 2 will still have access to the Gogebic County Fair set to begin next week, regardless of the ongoing U.S. 2 reconstruction. Several traffic barricades equipped with "Do Not Enter" signage still remain in place on the western end of U.S. 2, however signs were recently put in place informing eastbound travelers that the fairgrounds are accessible without having to take the detour route.     HONOLULU (AP) - The first hurricane expected to hit Hawaii in 22 years weakened slightly Thursday as its outer edges began to bring rain and wind to the Big Island, while residents and tourists prepared for a possible one-two punch as another major storm lined up behind it in the Pacific.     DULUTH, Minn. — Delores Catherine George, 72, passed away peacefully at St. Mary’s Essentia Health in Duluth on Aug. 6, 2014. Delores was born Sept. 30, 1941, in Wakefield, Mich., the daughter of Ina and Delore Baker. Delores was joined in marriage to Donald George on Aug. 7, 1976. She spent her career as a nurse after graduating from Gogebic Community College and Northern Michigan University with degrees in nursing.
