The demolitions are part of the continuing Hardest Hit grant program that has allowed the city to remove dozens of eyesores in the past several years. The Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development reported this week the unemployment rate in Iron County improved from 7.6 percent in April to 5.3 percent in May. A year ago it was 7.1 percent.     IRON BELT, Wis. - Patrick Sean Mullen, 62, of Iron Belt, was lifted from the loving embrace of his children on June 16, 2017. Patrick was born in Ironwood, Mich., to Patricia (Nolan) and Donald Mullen on Nov. 12, 1954. Growing up, he helped build the family cottage along with his siblings at Island Lake.     HANCOCK, Mich. — Elsa Irene Keranen (Lukkari) Robb, a long-time resident of the Houghton County Medical Care facility, ascended to glory on June 22, 2017.
