By JAN TUCKER [email protected] ONTONAGON — The Ontonagon County Economic Development Corporation remains in contact with the U.S. Corps of Engineers in its request for dredging of the Ontonagon Harbor. Tom Poisson reported to the board that contacts have been made with the Corps in Duluth and in Detroit asking that Ontonagon be placed in the appropriations for dredging in the 2018 season. ONTONAGON, Mich. - Rosalie M. "Peggy" Younk passed away on Monday, Sept. 11, 2017, at Aspirus Ontonagon Long Term Care at the age of 90. She was born on July 4, 1927. She was the only daughter of William and Julia (LeMoine) Harris. She grew up in Green and graduated from Ontonagon High School in 1944. On May 28, 1949, she married Walter J. Younk.
