Highs of 86 degrees were recorded for both Saturday and Sunday at the Gogebic-Iron Wastewater Treatment Plant off Cloverland Drive. By RALPH ANSAMI [email protected] IRONWOOD — Historic Ironwood Theatre Managing Director Bruce Greenhill said roof repairs on the downtown theater building may begin this fall after the city commission on Monday pledged financial support for the project. The commission agreed in a 5-0 vote to pay around $60,000 for the project to be repaid through a lease agreement for the $100,000 repair project. PENCE, Wis. - Earl J. "Jello" Brackett, 91, lifelong Pence resident, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2017, peacefully at his home. He was born June 11, 1926, in Pence, to the late John Brackett and Helmi Mandelin Brackett. He attended the Pence school from grades K-8 and graduated from J.E. Murphy High School in Hurley.
