Developing the plat was approved by the Ironwood City Commission. City manager Scott Erickson said Monday the public informational meeting will be at 5:30 p.m. in the Memorial Building. IRONWOOD, Mich. - William L. Heilig, 90, of Ironwood, passed away peacefully Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2015, at Aspirus Grand View Hospital in Ironwood, with his family at his side, following a lengthy battle with cancer. He was born Aug. 17, 1925, raised in Lower Michigan, and came to Ironwood in 1946. Bill, along with his wife, Doreen, founded Doreen's Antiques on Lake Street in Ironwood, operating the business for more than 40 years.
