    SUN CITY, Ariz. - David R. Leppanen, 89, from Sun City, passed away peacefully with family on Feb. 28, 2022, from a stroke following surgery for a hip fracture. He was born on Feb. 18, 1933, in Ironwood, Michigan; one of 15 of William and Susanna Leppanen's children. He discovered an early passion for music on a school-owned tuba.
