WATERSMEET, Mich. - Marilyn F. (Brooks) Rogers, 87, of Watersmeet, passed away peacefully in her sleep at her daughter's home on Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2016. Marilyn was born Dec. 3, 1928, in Iron River, daughter of the late Leslie J. and Grace (Lewis) Brooks. Marilyn played clarinet in the Iron River Marching Band and participated in theater plays in high school. HURLEY, Wis. - David "Dave" A. Tauer, 66, of Oma, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2016, in Duluth at St. Mary's Hospital, with his loving family at his side. Dave was born April 19, 1950, in Wakefield, the son of Joseph and Leona (Sobieski) Tauer. He was raised in the Bessemer, Mich., area and attended A.D. Johnston High School. WAKEFIELD, Mich. - John Ira Wanden, 89, of Bessemer, died Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2016, in Wakefield. He was born Oct. 25, 1926, in Tomahawk, Wis., the son of the late John and Beatrice (Hudson) Wanden and had been a long-time Bessemer resident. John was veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Navy. He was honorably discharged on April 15, 1946. He was a life member of the Wakefield VFW Post 9084.
