BESSEMER — With ruffed grouse season improving with the falling leaves, both hunters and hikers have a new opportunity to enjoy autumn. The Mosinee Grouse Enhanced Management System is open to the public for hunting, hiking and wildlife viewing. IRONWOOD — Trick-or-treating on the Gogebic Range is recommended for 4 to 8 p.m. on Halloween, Oct. 31. Both Ironwood Public Safety Department Director Andrew DiGiorgio and Gogebic County Sheriff Peter Matonich recommend those hours for Ironwood, Bessemer and Wakefield, but said daylight hours are preferable.
