    WAKEFIELD, Mich. – Rita Marie Grasso, 89, of Wakefield, walked into Heaven peacefully Saturday morning, Oct. 31, 2015, surrounded by loved ones. Rita was born on March 9, 1926, in Jessieville Location in Ironwood, a daughter of Alois and Ann (Bonazza) Budy. She attended St. Ambrose Catholic High School and graduated in 1944. Participants could purchase tickets that could be exchanged for snacks or a chance at the wide variety of games held in the gym. The effort, billed by Samaritan's Purse International Relief as "the world's largest Christmas outreach of its kind," involves filling shoe boxes with everything from toys to school supplies and then sending the shoe boxes to children in need around the world.
