    IRONWOOD — The Ni-Miikanaake Chapter of the North Country Trail Association held its yearly wrap-up meeting and potluck Nov. 7. Chapter president Cal Kangas reviewed the summer’s work progress, according to a chapter news release, most notably the crew of Amish volunteers that helped with trail maintenance in October. The group of 12 volunteers helped build bridges on the trail and remove fallen logs.     BOISE, Idaho - Nancy Jean Lindberg, 78, of Wells, Nev., passed away on Nov. 8, 2017, in Boise, surrounded by her daughters, after a short battle with cancer. Nancy was born in Ironwood, Mich., on July 27, 1939. She attended Luther L. Wright High School and went on to earn a bachelor's degree in elementary education from the University of Michigan. While student teaching in upper Michigan, she met and married E. William "Bill" Lindberg, also of Ironwood. They would move to Carlin, Nev., in 1963... Full story
