    IRONWOOD - High school girls learned more about "non-traditional" career options during career day at Gogebic Community College, Tuesday. Sophomores and juniors from Bessemer, Ironwood and Wakefield-Marenisco signed up to learn more about career options in automotive and computer programming/robotics.     MARQUETTE - After presenting the Catholic Diocese of Marquette with its 10th bishop 35 years ago, the Diocese of Green Bay, Wis., has again been called on to provide one of its priests to lead the more than 50,000 Catholics in the Upper Peninsula.     DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) - The numbers have been drawn for the $636 million Mega Millions jackpot. The winning numbers on Tuesday night were: 8, 14, 17, 20, 39; Mega Ball: 7. It's the second-largest lottery jackpot in U.S. history.     PENCE, Wis. - Robert E. "Bob" Barnabo, 77, of Pence, died unexpectedly Sunday, Dec. 15, 2013, at home. He was born June 30, 1936, in Hurley, son of the late Dante and Leocadia (Cybulski) Barnabo, and graduated from J.E. Murphy High School in 1954. He then spent two years in the Wisconsin National Guard. Bob was director of maintenance at Villa Maria Health and Rehabilitation Center in Hurley for more than 25 years, retiring in 2006.     ONTONAGON, Mich. — Ione Marie Thompson passed away Friday, Dec. 13, 2013, at the Aspirus Ontonagon Long Term Care Facility in Ontonagon. Ione was born on the family farm on June 28, 1921 in Metamora, Ohio. She attended Ohio Northern University and, in 1941, married Robert “Kelly” Thompson. During Kelly’s service in the U.S. Army Air Corps, Ione lived in Florida and Kansas, before returning to Metamora after World War II.
