On Christmas Day, Olivia Reini and Darryl Anderson Jr. went to Aspirus Ironwood Hospital because Olivia was experiencing back pains while pregnant. John Matonich, who serves on the Michigan Natural Resources Board, was the interview committee's choice among four candidates for the position, Kangas said.     IRONWOOD, Mich. - Kenneth D. Vuorenmaa, 79, of Ironwood, died on Monday, Dec. 26, 2016, at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born March 11, 1937, in Ironwood, the son of the late Eric and Selina (Kitula) Vuorenmaa. He graduated from Luther L. Wright High School in Ironwood with the class of 1956. On Dec. 31, 1960, he was married to Marlene Wesa in Milwaukee. He adored his beloved wife of 56 years and will be missed by all who knew him.     HURLEY, Wis. — Sam R. Misuraco, 89, of Ironwood, Mich., died on Monday, Dec. 26, 2016, in Hurley. He was born May 14, 1927, in Hurley, the son of the late Vincent and Josephine (Bruni) Misuraco. He met the love of his life, June Brown, and together they raised her three children and three of their own. June preceded him in death on Feb. 19, 2012.
