Pierpont wins Mercer school recall election

MERCER, Wis. -- Longtime resident Deanna Pierpont won a seat on the Mercer School Board in a recall election Tuesday.

Pierpont got 342 votes; former school board member Karl Anderson received 289.

"We're all excited. We had a win-or-lose party, and we're lucky we won," Pierpont said Tuesday night.
