PHILLIPS, Wis. -- Hurley picked up a 17-0 win over Phillips Tuesday in a game marred by the Loggers' walks and errors.
The Midgettes improved to 8-2 and hope to play their first home game today against Lakeland between the forecast rain drops.
"That's even kind of unreal for playing here," Hurley manager Jim Kivisto of playing the first 10 games on the road. "Hopefully we'll get it in."
Brooke Vaara pitched the first four innings and struck out six. Courtney Anderson pitched the final inning.
Everybody played at least 2½ innings and hit at least twice.
"It was nice," Kivisto said.
