To the Editor:
On behalf of the Western U.P. Center for Science, Math and Environmental Education, I would like to thank the Wolverine Ski Trails for the use of the trails and chalet for conducting my outdoor science field trips.
During the first week in March, Ironwood students in third though sixth grade participated in hands-on ecology activities and also went snowshoeing at Wolverine. A special thank you to Sulo Romo, who volunteers at Wolverine throughout the winter. In addition to keeping the trails and chalet in order, he helped students with their snowshoes and set up my activities each day.
Applause to the Ironwood Area Schools for giving 250 kids this opportunity.
