Jesus Christ the answer to drinking, drug problems

At the age of 16, I had my first beer. By the age of 18, I was a town drunk in Crystal Falls. From the age of 18 to the age of 38, I drank heavily. I spent a small fortune on a product that caused me three car accidents, one of which should have killed me.

I had two friends in their early graves because of alcohol. I cannot tell you of how many times I had my head in the toilet bowl, so sick, wanting to die, vomiting up what I just paid for the night before.

On May 29, 1968, I fell 28 feet and broke both legs. I also smashed my ankle bones where doctors said I would never walk again.

On June 23, 1973, I was asked to go to a Bible-believing church, where Jesus Christ became Lord of my life. In September 1973, He set me free from alcohol, just as if I had never drunk before. It has been nearly 40 years now without a desire to drink alcohol.

In October 1973, the Lord took away the braces to allow me to walk without them. I have been walking ever since. In 1974, the Lord called me into the ministry as a pastor and an evangelist, retiring in mid-2011.

Now, I speak to you with all sincerity. You who do not know where you will end up at death, you with a drinking problem or drug problem, I have an answer for you. His name is Jesus Christ.
