Everyone has right to express opinon

To the Editor:

In response to Ken Bowman’s recent letter (“Letter to editor ‘brings sadness,’” April 1) chewing out the Daily Globe for printing a previous letter (“Keep protecting traditional marriage,” March 25), we have something in this country called freedom of speech. This lady has as much right as Bowman to write a letter to the editor.

Should I cancel my Daily Globe subscription because the Globe printed Bowman’s letter?

Not so long ago, believing that marriage should be between a man and a woman, and unborn babies should be protected, was considered a good thing. Now, if you believe these things, you are labeled a bigot.

Those of us who believe the word of God know that it (God’s word) doesn’t change, even if society changes. There are moral absolutes. Only those who believe in Christ as their savior and live their lives according to Biblical standards are going to heaven.

Everyone else will spend a never-ending eternity in hell. I wouldn’t wish this on anyone.
