ADDISON, Mich. — Dennis D. Oliver, 52, of Addison, passed away on Feb. 14, 2013.
Dennis was born on July 28, 1960, in Ironwood, son of the late Charles and Lorraine (Anderson) Oliver, where he attended Central Grade School and graduated from Luther L. Wright High School in 1978. He graduated from Michigan Technological University with a degree in electrical engineering.
Dennis was employed by Hughes Aircraft and General Motors in California, and General Motors in Detroit.
On June 8, 1991, Dennis married Emilia Maria Romero in Lake Tahoe, Calif. She preceded him in death on March 17, 2003.
Surviving are a sister, Diane McCarty, St. Paul, Minn.; two brothers, Greg (Susan), Raleigh, N.C., and James (Nancy), Wasilla, Alaska; and many nieces, nephews and cherished friends.
Dennis enjoyed the outdoors, camping, fishing and playing tennis. He loved visiting his parents in Ironwood.
Out of respect for his wishes, cremation has taken place.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, April 13, at 1 p.m. at St. Mary On the Lake Church, 450 Manitou Road, Manitou Beach MI 49253, with the Rev. Joe Krupp officiating.
Luncheon will follow the service.
Dennis will be greatly missed by his sister, brothers and many friends.
