Ironwood bank teller celebrates 20 years with company

IRONWOOD — Twenty years and hundreds of customers later, Corrine Alexandroni can still be found behind the counter at Wells Fargo.

Alexandroni celebrated her 20th anniversary with the company as a teller on Friday. Fellow employees surprised her with a cake, presents and balloons.

“I am very surprised,” Alexandroni said. “I had no idea that they were going to do this.”

Alexandroni has spent all of her career in the Ironwood area, and the last two years at the branch office on Cloverland Drive. For her, the best part about her job is helping customers.

“I really like helping customers,” Alexandroni said. “Wells Fargo has been a great company to work for, and I have great fellow employees who work well together and it is just a nice place to work.”

According to store manager Deanna Janczak, she is honored to have Alexandroni on staff.

“I am so honored to have her, and grateful for her experience which has been so beneficial,” Janczak said.

When asked about 20 more years, Alexandroni said that she plans on retiring in four years.

“We are going to miss her when she leaves,” Janczak said. “She is going to be a hard one to replace.”
