Jacobus celebrates 5 years as priest

ONTONAGON — More than 250 friends and parishioners celebrated the fifth anniversary of the ordination of Holy Family Catholic Church pastor the Rev. Michael Jacobus at a dinner Sunday night in the church hall.

Jacobus was named pastor of Holy Family by Bishop Alexander Sample just four months after his ordination. He thanked the people of the parish for the way they received him into their own. He said he planned the dinner so that he could celebrate with his family. “You are all my family,” he added.
