PALM BAY, Fla. — William George Saubert, 82, passed away peacefully at the William Childes Hospice House in Palm Bay on July 4, 2013.
As a child, he held a fascination for trains, which led to his vocation until his retirement in 1989. Following his retirement, he and his wife, Dorothy, moved to Donna, Texas. He moved to Florida this spring due to health reasons and to be closer to family.
He is survived by two brothers, Philip (Sue), of Vera Beach, and Richard, of Melbourne; a niece, Jane Marie, of Vera Beach; and numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his wife and parents.
Cremation has taken place.
A committal service will be held by Trinity Lutheran Church of Bergland at a late date.
The family wished to extend a heartfelt thanks to the many friends and neighbors, especially Kay and Jim Voss for their support and kindness while he lived Texas.
