Ronald Allen Aho

WARNER ROBINS, Ga. — Ronald Allen Aho, 71, entered into rest on Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2013.

Ronald was born on Sept. 21, 1941, in Ironwood, Mich., to the late William Reino and Evelyn Aho. He graduated from Luther L. Wright High School in Ironwood and attended Michigan Technological University.

A proud veteran of the United States Air Force, he served two terms during the Vietnam Era, attaining the rank of staff sergeant. Ronald went on to work for Robins Air Force Base, retiring as an electronics supervisor, and for the gas department for the city of Warner Robins, where he retired as a supervisor over the meter readers. Ronald was also a certified police officer for the city of Warner Robins.

He was very active within organizations in the community, as well. He was a member of the National Rifle Association, Bass Masters and Disabled Veterans Association. Ronald was an avid fisherman and was a classic car collector.

His memory will forever be treasured by his devoted wife of 45 years, Mary Jo Peavy Aho, of Warner Robins; daughter, Tammy Burke (John Wesley), of Cordele; grandson, Brandon Brown, and great-granddaughter, Cali Ann Brown, both of Newnan; sister, Sandy (Bob) Miklesh, of Ironwood; and nephews, Bob and Jim Miklesh.

The family would like to thank all their friends for their prayers, meals and being there always for support. Thank you, Same Sweet Girls, for your friendship cards, prayers and continued support. Thank you, Second Baptist Church, for always being the shining example of faith that God will never leave us, will always be here to walk with us and give us strength for each day, no matter how high the mountain is to climb.

Visitation was held Saturday, Sept. 7, at McCullough Funeral Home.

Funeral services were held Sunday, Sept. 8, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home, with interment following in Magnolia Park Cemetery.

The family will accept flowers, or donations may be given to Agape Hospice, 3312 Northside Drive, Macon GA 31210, or to the American Cancer Society, 804 Cherry St., Suite A, Macon GA 31201.
