THE BEACON tower at the Gogebic-Iron County Airport gets a fresh coat of paint Thursday afternoon. Airport manager Mike Harma said work on refurbishing the tower will also include a new light and new wiring. The tower, which datesto the 1940s, will be orange and white. James Peterson & Son is the general contractor. The tower work is part of a larger parallel runway project that began earlier in the month.
