IRONWOOD, Mich. — Kyle G. Thiede, 46, of Ironwood, died Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2013, at home.

He was born Jan. 27, 1967, in Ironwood, son of the late Marvin and Dorothy (Fisher) Thiede, attended A.L. Norrie Grade School, and graduated from Luther L. Wright High School in 1984. He worked in cranberry marshes in Manitowish Waters, Wis., for many years and was a screen printer at Arts Unlimited in Hurley, Wis., for 15 years until illness forced his retirement in 2009. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, dancing and spending time with his family.

Kyle was a sensitive, kind-hearted man, and a loving father who never missed a chance to say, “I love you honey.” He was a man who was always the life of the party and had a million dollar smile that could make anyone’s day brighter. Dad, you will forever be missed.

Surviving are a daughter, Kristy (Thomas) Parsons, Ironwood; two grandchildren, Elli and Emma Parsons; four brothers, Glen and Keith, both of Wakefield, Stacy (Roberta), Ironwood Township, and Terrence, Ironwood; three sisters, Julie (Shannon) Sertich, Dorothy “DJ” Anderson, and Darci (Joseph) Pisco, all of Ironwood; special nephew, Bill Korpela Jr., Ironwood; numerous other nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; best friends, Robert Chouinard and George Hallisey, both of Ironwood; and caregiver, Roxanne Harmon.

Per Kyle’s wishes, cremation has taken place.
