Junior Ritchie, a 2-year-old enrolled in the home-based class at Hurley Head Start, sprays a fire hose with Hurley Fire Department Chief Darrell Petrusha during a recent family activity in Hurley. The home-based program serves children as young as infants and up to 5 years. The program includes a home visitor that works directly with families at home on a weekly basis to educate young children. Families and children also participate in family activities at the Head Start Center or other community locations twice a month. For more information, call Hurley Head Start at 715-561-5363.
